Twice in this past week Ive been in bars where smoking is allowed. It's been awhile since that has happened to me, so twice in one week was definitely something to write about. huh?!
The first was Revolution Cafe. On 22nd and Bartlett. Right near my house (yeah smiley face). Ok, the entire bar isn't smoke friendly, but it might as well be. The smoke area, and non smoke area are separated by a thin wall about 2 feet high. Yep, that's it. So really the only thing stopping the smoke from flowing to the "indoors" are the 3 fans slowly spinning, or perhaps the crazy wind that's been blowing through the streets of SF.
I happened to go to this Cafe in one of my most favorite t-shirts. Which is now ruined. Not ruined in a, I got paint all over it vintage way. But ruined in a, crap I just spent way way to long in Vegas I feel sleazy way. Go right ahead and smoke, really, do what you want. I just really really don't want to smell like it.
The second place was last night. It was 11. The two hot lesbian twins from Canada had just finished their show, and we went for a drink. It was the only bar close that had pool tables. It actually had 3 tables, something like 4 darts boards, shuffle board, trivia and hockey on TV, plus a kick ass jukebox. I met some guy named Neil, who was very nice, and who I actually beat at pool. This place was amazing. All except for the fact that the clothes I was wearing last night are now hanging outside trying to air out.
You may be saying, "Just wash the damn things". Well, it's more complicated than that you see. I don't really want to spend $8 to wash like 4 pieces of clothes. Also, it's just the point of it. Yes, I am being stubborn. And yes, I did walk into that bar, purchased alcohol, and therefore am supporting the tolerability of smoking indoors, but damn.
As far as the 'such' part of the title, today is Wednesday. It has finally started to warm up a bit. My best childhood friend is moving to Australia. I am going on a vacay in a week and am so unprepared I'm not sure where to start. There are dose Prides coming up. I am once again inspired to do something...creative. I want to go camping. I have a stomach ache from my Mango Tango Odwalla I gulfed down this morning. The Australian duo who opened last night was adorable. I had a dream my roommates car was getting towed last night. By no other than my Irish friend Eileen. Weird.
