A 23 year old woman went for a run Thursday Aug. 28, and never ended p coming back home. She was found floating in the waters of New York Harbor on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 16. What the hell? I guess this whole Jason Bourne movie scenario is a real thing. The first recorded case was "Ansel Bourne, a Rhode Island preacher who suffered the condition when he was en route to Providence in 1887. The preacher continued to Norristown, Pa., where he opened a store and lived with another family, until one day he “woke up.” Woah. This is crazy. The NYT article goes on to say that the possible explanation of behind the fugue is that "the person is running away from a bad situation, from a bad marriage or a bad financial situation.”
Supposedly the disappearing woman visited the Apple store and got in her email, visited a few gyms, and even had a conversation with a Pace student. Creepy.
